FAQ - Cooking Classes
1. What is the Singles Supper Club?
The Singles Supper Club was created to bring like-minded singles together in a relaxed yet interactive cooking environment. Our classes are open to all age groups and all sexual orientations. Please go to our calendar section to find a class that suits you.
2. What if I’m not single?
Aphrodite Cooks also offers a couples cooking class. You and your partner will learn to create innovative food and maybe make some new friends as well.
3. What is the class capacity for the Singles Supper Club?
Our classes have a capacity of 30 people.
4. What is the ratio of men vs. women in each class?
We aim to have a 1 to 1 ratio of men to women.
5. What type of menu do the participants learn?
We offer menus that reflect the season and are appetizingly creative, yet simple to prepare.
6. What is the format of the classes?
The class is randomly divided into equal groups, each group prepares one part of the menu. Once all menu items are completed, the participants mingle and sample all the dishes.
7. Does Aphrodite Cooks provide match making services?
No. We provide the food and atmosphere to allow chemistry to occur naturally. All participants’ personal information is completely confidential.
8. When should I register?
The earlier the better, because spaces are limited.
9. How do I register?
There are two ways to register.1) Via our website.2) Over the phone.
10. What is the cost of the classes?
The Singles Supper Club is $100 + GST, per class. Our Couples Cooking Class is $180 + GST, per couple except for Valentines Day which is $225 + GST. This includes the lesson, all food, complementary wine as well as a menu package, which you get to take home with you.
11. How can I pay for the classes?
We take Visa, Mastercard and AMEX.
12. Where does Aphrodite Cooks hold their classes?
We currently use the Nella Cucina teaching kitchen. They are located at 876 Bathurst St. which is steps from the Bathurst Subway station. Parking is available at the rear of the building.
13. Can I book private cooking classes for private or corporate groups?
Yes you can! Please call or email us for more information.
14. What is the cancellation policy for the cooking classes?
All cancellations will be credited towards a future class, but will not be refunded. Participants can transfer their spot to someone else to attend if they choose to do so. Full refund will be issued only if Aphrodite Cooks cancels or reschedules a class.
